The founder and lead pastor the Citadel Community Church, formally called Latter Rain Assembly, Tunde Bakare has finally completed the mega-church building project. According to the church report, the building cost a whooping amount of N18 billion.
It has been over a decade that Pastor Tunde Bakare and his wife has been running the Latter Rain Church, located on Akilo Road, Ogba, Lagos, as the only branch. The newly constructed church auditorium is located at First Bank bus stop, Okpebi, Oregun Road, Ikeja.
The new structure known as “The Citadel” will serve as the church’s permanent site, and it is located just a stone-throw the old Daystar Christian Center.

Pastor Tunde Bakare Biography
Tunde Bakare, born November 11, 1954, is a Nigerian Prophetic-Apostolic pastor. He was arrested for preaching sermons criticizing the then-president, Olusegun Obasanjo. He was born and raised in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, where he was originally from and had his early education.
Pastor Bakare is regarded as one of the prominent clergymen in Nigeria known for his ministry and controversial preaching.
He is an indigene of Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria where he was born and grew up with his parents and siblings.
Tunde Bakare began his education at All Saints Primary School, Kemta, Abeokuta in Ogun State.
He further his education to Lisabi Grammar School, Abeokuta then got admitted into the University of Lagos where he graduated with a Law degree.
Pastor Tunde Bakare was called to the Bar in 1981 and after his NYSC.
