Vicki Yohe (born July 13, 1965) is a gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader. She was born in Normal, Illinois, and grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota. Her love and drive for music began right when she was a little girl.
At age five, she released her first single, and later when she was 14, her family relocated to Hammond, Louisiana. At the age of 19, she appointed the music leader at her church.
In 1992, she recorded her first debut album. It became a hit and attracted so many persons and agencies, such as Giant Records, who signed her in 1994. She is best known for the songs “The Mercy Seat” and “Because Of Who You Are”—for which she received a Dove Award nomination, and for regularly performing on TBN’s Praise the Lord program.
Through her television appearance, CeCe Winans offered her the chance to sign with Winans’ new Pure Springs Gospel label. Yohe’s first release from the label was 2003’s I Just Want You.
