Late Osinachi Nwachukwu, Nigerian top gospel singer, who died as a result of some health complications (allegedly killed by her husband) has been finally laid to rest at her state of origin, Abia. The Ekwueme crooner rose to fame after her song Ekwueme ft Min. Prosper Ochimana, became a hit and spread across several platforms.
Sadly, her dream of reaching more lives with the gospel of Jesus through her music was short-lived. She died on April 8, 2022, in Abuja, and her body has been buried in her hometown, Isochi Umunneochi in Abia State.

According to Selahafrik, her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, was not found at her burial. Notwithstanding, to spice the event up, late Osinachi’s twin sister sang a beautiful rendition at the burial which was soul stirring.
On Thursday, a Gospel worship-concert was organised in her honour at Michael Okpara Square, Enugu State. A Night of Prayers was also held in Sochi, Umunoci in Abia State on Friday.
According to reports, the late gospel singer was alleged to be a victim of domestic violence, by her Husband, Peter Nwachukwu. But the husband had denied accusations that he was responsible for his wife’s death, insisting she died of lung cancer. Although he has been charged to face a 23-count charge bordering on domestic violence and homicide, among others at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
