As we know, Pastor Christian Oyakhilome famously know as Pastor Chris is no longer with his wife, Pastor Anita Oyakhilome. They divorced in 2016, and since then, people have been asking if Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has found himself a new wife.
Sadly, the divorce news between Christ Embassy founders, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, and his ex-wife, Anita Oyakhilome, is described as a big shock to the world, ministry and the family family.
The suspicion began to circulate in 2014, about that pastor Anita Oyakhilome had not shown up for several events in the church. To even start with, the church denied that a divorce was lurking, but not too long after that, Pastor Chris came out to verify that he and Anita were about parting ways.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome confirmed that Anita did not share his vision of the church and by so doing, it was necessary they part ways.
Christ Embassy was founded in 1987 by Pastor Chris, later Anita came into the picture, and the both were married in 1991. From that time onwards, Anita Oyakhilome became more involved in Christ Embassy’s branches in the United Kingdom, which necessitated her basing there more often. However, some Christ Embassy members have also speculated that the physical distance between the couple might have played a role in the divorce.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome new wife rumors
Because she changed her name to “Pastor Anita Schafer,” people began to speculate that she might have remarried. However, she denied that.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome on the otherhand was rumored to have found a new wife after the divorce from Anita Oyakhilome, but he has rebuffed those speculations. Still at the moment, he is single, without a new wife and we haven’t gathered any information regarding regarding whether Pastor Anita is remarried or not.
As we speak, Pastor Anita Oyakhilome lives in the United Kingdom, where she runs her personal ministry; while Pastor Chris Oyakhilome lives in Lagos, Nigeria. There, he continues to run Christ Embassy, which has grown to have an estimated 13 million members worldwide. The majority of them live in Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.
Anita Oyakhilome denies rumors about reconciliation
Rumors about a reconciliation with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome had also been circulating after the divorce. However, Anita Oyakhilome put a stop to those in her blog post.
“It has been brought to my attention that there are persistent rumors and misinformation about my marital status being circulated, and I would like to address certain reconciliation rumors with this statement. Further to the formal notification of the dissolution of marriage made by my solicitors earlier this year,” she wrote.
“Please note that this has not changed, and I am no longer a part of Christ Embassy aka Believer’s LoveWorld or any such organization in any capacity. I am reiterating this to ensure that no one is misled by the false rumors or unfounded statements that show up and are spread from time to time on the internet. Any additional statement concerning me will be issued by my solicitors, who are my legal representatives, so please do not be deceived.

Pastor Chris’ ex-wife shuns daughter’s wedding
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his then-wife had two children together: Carissa Sharon Oyakhilome was born in 1993, while Charlene Oyakhilome was welcomed in 1995.
The latter daughter lives a very quiet life, away from media attention, while Carissa Sharon Oyakhilome has joined Christ Embassy. In October of 2018, she got married to her heartthrob Phillip Frimpong, a Ghanaian/Dutch businessman. They were married in a big wedding ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria, which was officiated by her father’s friend Pastor Benny Hinn.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was present to celebrate the couple as they were married, but his ex-wife apeared to be absent. However, It has been reported that Carissa Sharon Oyakhilome and Phillip Frimpong later did a small wedding ceremony in London, the United Kingdom, which Anita Oyakhilome was present.
In April 2021, the couple welcomed their first child, Arielle Rachelle-Marise, who is Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and Anita Oyakhilome’s first grandchild.
